Wired Different & Laughing Together: Our first sofa chat
In this episode, Ali & Jen have their first official at-home sofa chat. They laugh about how differently they are wired and share some funny stories like the time when they ended up on another kind of sofa with a therapist to mediate. From dealing with Sensory Processing Disorder, to sneaking home to read before Work From Home was a thing to read, you’ll learn a lot about what makes them tick.
Ali takes you through some highlights in the book she’s currently reading, Fortytude by Sarah Brokaw, a book that was handed down to her by Jen. A great read for anyone in their mid 30’s looking to approach aging with authenticity, courage, and grace. Ali shares some favorite excerpts including finding grounding in situations out of your control, acknowledging imposters syndrome, and a practical exercise for shifting your mindset with regard to body image issues.
